Besides bar magnets doors in interlock control systems can also be blocked in the closed position by door locking units and electric strikes.

All door locking units and door strikes used together with the interlock control system operate according to the quiescent current principle, i.e. without current they are unlocked and the door can be opened. For the correct functioning of the interlock control system these components also need a feed-back contact to allow the system to analyse the actual state of the door.

1) TVR door locking unit: This door locking unit combines a very low power consumption with extremely high locking forces.

2) Electric strike: different models are available. When choosing the type you have to take into consideration whether the door is an emergency exit and/or a fire protection door.
