The DICTATOR door checks are the answer to several problems.

1) They put an end to banging doors
because they catch the door thrown shut by hand, by a closing spring or by a gust of wind just before the "great bang" and then pull it quietly and safely to the completely closed position. For this reason they are ideal e.g. in hospitals, public buildings, offices and many other buildings where the doors should stay open according to the requirements but not bang shut. Furthermore, the door checks have been approved for fire protection doors with spring hinges. Their banging when closing often can be heard in the whole building. But door checks also offer the solution in very sensible areas where every shaking may damage precious equipment, e.g. in research laboratories.

2) They take care of completely closed doors
Thus they contribute to more energy efficiency and safety.
- Energy saving is practised environmental protection
With cold rooms or tempered rooms in general not completely closed doors cause a much higher energy consumption. This results in costs and also harms the environment. The DICTATOR door checks make sure the doors are always completely closed and stay closed. This applies to hinged and sliding doors.
- Safety
Entrance doors, especially to residential buildings, should always be closed to prevent unauthorised persons from entering. A DICTATOR door check together with the usually already mounted overhead door closer ensures this, at different wind conditions and temperatures!

There are available different models of the DICTATOR door checks. Mostly they differ merely by their optics. The door check Junior, however, can only be used on small and lightweight doors.
