Point 4.9.21 of the standard EN 14600:2005 stipulates that when fire protection doors are closing there has to be an acoustic and optical alarm signal – even in case of power failure.

DICTATOR met this requirement with the signal control system S400. First the signal control system S400 serves as power pack for the smoke detectors and the hold-open system of a fire protection door. Second an emergency power supply is integrated that supplies a siren and max. 2 hazard alarm flashers in case of power failure.

Existing installations are easily retrofitted with the signal control system S400.

DICTATOR offers complete hold-open systems. The simplest version includes just the DICTATOR smoke or heat detector and DICTATOR electromagnets. The complete version includes operators thus opening the door by motor and closing it by spring. This ensures the door to be closed reliably even in case of power failure and gives the fire no chance.

A hold-open system includes:

·       DICTATOR smoke and heat detectors

·       DICTATOR electromagnets

·       Release buttons

·       Power pack 24 VDC

DICTATOR electromagnets have been tested and approved according to the EN 1155:2005 standard. They are produced in many different versions as to comply with the different situations: with or without feeder clamps,  with or without casing, for floor mounting, with or without feed-back contact, for exterior installation with special UV protection, IP65 and of course in explosion proof version. For potentially explosive environments DICTATOR offers complete hold-open systems according to ATEX 100, including everything from smoke detector, electromagnet to door operator.
